—firstbeta stumbled into the cougar’s den.
He smelled like…dog, death, and…iron? Definitely a new aroma to the cougar, but hey—she was open to new things. As long as they didn’t try to y’know; Rip her throat out or something. “Hey.” She greeted the curly haired teen, herself perched up in a tree. She smiled down at him, lips red with lipstick and shaped into a mischievous little smile. She rested her elbows on her knees, chin sitting in her palms. “What’s up?”
It wasn’t hard for him to recognize her smell — he’s met shapeshifters before, after all. Perhaps of a different kind, but in the end, couldn’t they all classify under similar species? Not as hostile towards strangers as he used to be, he merely offered the girl a small nod, hands stuffed in his pockets securely.
“A new face around? Can’t say I’ve ever seen you before,” ignoring her question entirely, he took one, small step towards the girl, still not closing the distance between them.
“Would you look at that? If it isn’t my favorite little hybrid. I’m sorry I haven’t rolled down the red carpet for your return, might fix such mistake some of these days— glad you’re finally back though.”
“Frankly, I’m disappointed — I expected a more flashy ‘welcome back’ from Katherine Pierce herself. I guess this’ll do, though; seeing your face makes up for the lack of red carpet. I missed you, you know.”
I’m happy to see you again, too — you’re part of the reason why I even bothered coming back in the first place, y’know. For now, let’s just say I needed a little time to sort things out; it’s fine now, though, so here’s to hoping I won’t need to disappear again. … heeey, don’t sweat it! What’s the worst that could happen with me around, huh?
okay, i’m here, sorry for the delay akdja. i’ll get to the asks and starters now!
Heh, thanks for being understanding. You have to give me some time to gather my thoughts, anyway; I might be able to explain it then. … dead? Me? Please. After all we’ve been through, you should know I’m not the easiest guy to kill. … right? Well, I’m sticking around for the time being, so don’t worry.
Yeaaah, about that — I probably owe you some explaining, huh? Fuck, I missed you too, though. Definitely not leaving again, assuming it can be helped.
